### Math rules

Remember that ‘×’ and ‘/’ go before ‘+’ and ‘-‘ .

So 5+3×8 (= 5+24) = 29 and **not** (5+3)×8 = 64 !

Apart from the above mentioned “precedence” we always evaluate from left to right.

So 4×4/8/2 = 16/8/2 = 2/2 = 1 and **not ** 4×4/(8/2) = 16/4 = 4 !

Of course ‘&’ (the “concatenator”) goes before everything else.

It would be very strange to state that 4 + 3&5 = (4+3)&5 = 75 🙂

### Negative numbers

There won’t be any negative outcome of the equation until level 20 (e.g. 3-5 = 7-9). However you could have a “negative reading” if you do your math strictly from left to right. Let me explain this with an example:

In 4 – 8 + 6 = 2 you could think 4 – 8 = -4 and -4 + 6 = 2, so you’ll have a negative intermediate result of -4. If you get used to switch around things in your head it’ll be a lot easier: 4 + 6 = 10 and 10 – 8 = 2 !

### Fractions

There won’t be any fractional outcomes, not even at level 50! (Maybe in some future version you can switch this on or off). However in some rare cases you may have fractional intermediate results, like in 1 / 4 + 3 / 4 = 1 .
